Pollack

Easily identified by its protruding lower jaw and the distinct curve of it’s lateral line. The smaller Pollack can be found inshore around reefs, jetties and rock marks. These fish are best targeted after dark. The larger Pollack are usually found on off shore wrecks and reefs, and can get to almost 30lb in weight.

They can be caught on Ragworm or Sandeel baits, but most anglers choose to target them with lures, especially from the boat.
