Hive Beach

A shallow beach that fishes better from Spring until the start of Winter. There are good catches of Rays, Bass and Sole from here every year, but the beach can get busy with anglers. A large National Trust car park is just behind the beach making this area popular with families during the summer, and swimmers can cause a problem during daylight hours.

The sea bed is mainly clean sand. It does become rough ground towards the western end of the beach. Take care if fishing below the cliffs at the western end, as unstable cliffs can be dangerous.
