Freelining

This method is used when you want a bait to move around in the water more naturally. A hook is tied directly, or via a leader, to your mainline. Once baited up, the hook is cast out and the rod is held (as opposed to being placed in a tripod) so that slack line can be wound in if the bait drifts towards you, or line can be let out should the bait catch a current and drift off.
A good method for targeting Bass.
